Temporary Media Strategist
Our Story

Warner Media's Social Amplification Group is seeking a smart, analytical and socially-savvy individual as Media Strategist to join our team and support the service of a major kids brand. This role will work with the full social and video strategy team, the client and media agencies to ensure media operations services are met.

The ideal candidate would have a passion for and knowledge of all things YouTube media, premium video streaming and digital entertainment, and has both client-facing sales experience as well as experience running YouTube and paid social media campaigns. Though social ad buying experience is required, this position serves a supervisory role over campaign activations and is responsible for high-level strategic initiatives and insights requests for the business. Assistance with campaign activations may be required depending on team workload.

The Job
• Manage a team of direct reports – Campaign Managers and a Coordinator who are running paid YouTube campaigns for a major kids brand
• Oversee strategic media initiatives and recommendations for all campaigns
• Work closely with video strategy, channel management and client teams to ensure alignment across all teams on client KPIs and goals
• Keep social amplification team informed and up to date on team performance, client relations and revenue goals.

The Daily
• Oversee multi-market YouTube video distribution campaigns, utilizing responsible media mix, audience insights tools, and historical performance knowledge
• Supervise and manage a team of paid social experts who will be executing and optimizing campaigns and pulling campaign reporting
• Provide innovative solutions to streamline the workflow and increase productivity and profitability
• Support campaigns on YouTube as well as social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc., working within the native tools on each platform to execute and optimize
• Oversee discussions and have a clear POV on tracking, tagging, and targeting related to social media
• Construct narratives for strategic media recommendations and campaign wrap decks
• Interface with agency and client partners in both pre-sale and post-sale phases of the campaign
• Contribute to high-level team projects that work to build and implement business models across different ad sales products

The Essentials
• Experience: 3+ years of working experience at a digital agency or media publisher, with 2+ years of paid media experience focused on YouTube / paid social campaigns
• Education level: Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Experience executing and managing campaigns using Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads, Snap, TikTok and Pinterest
• Extensive knowledge of YouTube video and paid social landscape, including optimization techniques and strategies, bidding models, tracking techniques, targeting options, KPIs, and ad units across variety of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)
• Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to translate deep learnings into actionable recommendations
• Working knowledge of one or more social analytics & insights tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong people management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• A passion for social media and professional growth
• Proven track record of ability to operate independently as well as with a team
• Prior experience and/or strong interest in the toy / children's products category is a plus but not required
