Dark Burn Creative is hiring an Associate Camera Operator for our Woodland Hills, California office. Your mission will be to work alongside our creative team to help create epic gameplay trailer footage!

The opportunity:

Are you passionate about gaming? Do you know every nook and cranny of your favorite video game? Would you like a career in capturing gameplay moments? Are you passionate about cinematography? If so, we'd love to learn more about you!

What you will do in this role:
• Get paid to watch people play video games.
• Help game capture specialists film their amazing plays.
• Learn to understand client briefs and work within video games to bring the vision to life.
• Work from a shot list from the Creative Director and film scenes for a trailer.
• Craft precise shot lists detailing great gameplay sequences, camera angles & unique elements.

About you:
• Bachelors degree in cinematography or similar field.
• 1+ years working with cameras and understanding cinematic language required.
• Game capture experience highly important.
• You're a walking encyclopedia on all things video games, and you LOVE playing those games.
• Comfortable gaming with both keyboard, mouse, and controller.
• Creative vendor or studio experience preferred.
• Love of working in a team environment.
• Your communication and time management skills are excellent.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a huge plus but not required.
