2D Animator For Adult Comedy Series - Undervale

Job Description

Titmouse is looking for 2D Adobe Animate Animators for an animated adult comedy series. We're looking for skilled animators with strong drawing skills and a great sense of timing for action sequences and acting alike to help bring this amazing production to life.

Estimated Length of Project: September 2024 to February 2025

Compensation: $950-1275/week, commensurate with experience and skill level

Hours per week: 40

Reports to: Animation Director

Format: Hybrid, but candidates must be eligible to come into the Titmouse office in Vancouver.
*If the work for this position is performed within the geographical jurisdiction of the collective bargaining agreement, it will be covered by that agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create high-quality 2D animation sequences by creating storytelling poses and keeping them on model
• Animate scenes from rough to clean and complete work by the scheduled deadlines
• Perform one or more passes of revisions according to client/director notes
• Draw in Adobe Animate to create designs/poses for animation sequences and layouts
• Understand storytelling as told through character emotion/movement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES
• Previous experience as an Animator on a 2D series (Adobe Animate)
• Must have a strong sense of animation basics, acting, staging, posing, timing and the ability to stay on model
• Strong drawing skills are essential
• Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
• Good organizational skills - you are able to prioritize to meet goals or deadlines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment and manage your time wisely
• Detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable
• You welcome constructive criticism from client/directors to improve your scenes
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
• Sense of style or artistry with a creative mindset and passion for arts
• Maintain confidentiality over all matters and proprietary information
• Must be eligible to work in the Titmouse office in Vancouver.

SOFTWARE SKILLS
• Basic computer knowledge
• Working knowledge of Adobe Animate
• Ability to quickly learn essential new software applications
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Animation suite; including After Effects pertaining to layer, mattes, camera, effects, and rendering
• Ability and aptitude for creative problem-solving in order to assemble the final shot
