THE JOB

The Maintenance Facilities Manager is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the venue. This is a hands on, working position with a full commitment to work odd hours and back shifts when needed. This position will also include supervision of cleaning crew and related work.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

I. Maintaining the Venue to OSHA and Safety Standard
• Participate in monthly safety committee meetings
• Ensure that all safety standards are meet according to OSHA properties
• Ensure that all safety equipment is available and kept in stock (fire extinguishers and safety glasses)
• Coordinate with all operations managers to ensure property is kept up

II. Mechanical Operations
• All plumbing, electrical, refrigeration systems are operating to standard
• All electrical systems are operating to standard
• All light construction work is being completed in a timely manner
• All painting work is being kept clean and standard

III. Maintain relationships with local vendors
• Maintain Appropriate Relationships with Local Vendors
• Ensure that relationships with local vendors are professional
• Comparative price shopping

IV. Supervision of Department
• Provide a positive environment within the department
• Maintain open communication with staff
• Conduct evaluations of staff, outline goals, propose raise recommendations
• Ensure that staff training is complete and satisfactory

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

3 to 5 years' experience in the building maintenance field

Complete knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration repair and maintenance

EPA certification a must. This includes compressor and related components change out

Working experience in electrical, up to 208/240 volt 3 phase. Ability to run conduit, calculate electrical loads and trouble shoot systems a plus.

Experience with gas kitchen equipment and related appliances. Including exhaust hoods and fire suppression related equipment.

Basic plumbing skills, including sink drain replacement, faucet repairs and toilet and urinal flush valve repairs. The ability to solder copper pipe is a must.

Knowledge of data lines including cat5 and cat6 a plus.
OSHA 10 card is a big plus.
Other items include minor drywall repair, painting and light carpentry.

High School Diploma

3-5 years maintenance/facilities trade experience

Tolerance of all cultures, music and art form

Preferred:
• College diploma

Physical Work Requirements:
• Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, pushing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, handling. Ability to walk and stand for long period of time
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a very fast paced environment with considerable noise and interruptions. Must be able to change activity frequently.
