Job Description

The Hollywood Reporter is looking for a dynamic Journalist to join its international team to cover key news events and while also developing features for the publication, particularly its award-winning website. The position is based in London, and the reporter will be part of THR's international team, covering the entertainment industry and its trends from the European lens while working closely with reporters based around the world, as well as THR's US team. The successful applicant should be a self-starter, adept at handling quick deadlines, and have and develop key sources within the industry.

Responsibilities include:
• Covering all breaking news in the U.K. and some pan-European news across all sectors of the industry: Film, TV, distribution, exhibition, film sales, film, and TV markets, celebrity and exec news, deals and mergers, etc.
• Attending and covering London-based events
• Covering key international festivals.

Requirements include:
• 2 years' experience writing and editing for a digital media site, magazine, or newspaper
• Excellent news judgment and editing skills
• Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS publishing and web production tools, and understanding of SEO
• Experience curating content for social media platforms
• Team player with positive, proactive, problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work at times on weekends and after typical business hours
