The NBCU Dallas-Ft. Worth Local Group is looking for a dynamic leader to lead our integrated Sales team. As Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for setting strategy and pricing expectations, communicating those strategies with sales managers and sellers, managing and analyzing inventory, and executing creative sales approaches to grow market share. This position will report to the President & General Manager of Dallas-Ft. Worth.

Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction to setting and maintaining sales targets and new business development opportunities for Local and National Sales. Manage, and be held accountable for team revenue goals across Local linear and non-linear platforms.
• Create strategies for increasing share of available advertising budgets. Develop sales strategies and action plans for identified opportunities that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules, and action assignments.
• Identify high value advertiser categories and a strategy to initiate conversations with key advertisers in the categories.
• Ascertain clients/agencies needs and put together customized solutions based on their marketing objectives.
• Work cooperatively and in partnership with the other station departments such as News, Creative Services, Digital, and Community Relations to ensure growth in revenue and increased profitability through all station channels and special events.
• Work cooperatively and in partnership with other NBCU owned station markets and Network Sales, in order to increase the revenue generating potential for the local stations.
• Prepare monthly revenue operating reviews and revenue projections. Work closely with station management in the preparation of the station budget.
• Direct the station's sales effort through direct communication and detailed planning. Drive accountability and provide feedback to the Sales team. Work with team on strategies to improve the Sales process.
• Oversee entire sales department and ensure employees work and sell with integrity and uphold company standards. Clearly communicate expectations of performance and establish and maintain a professional and motivated staff.
• Ensure consistent station image throughout commercials, promotional materials, and events.
• Attract, hire, and retain outstanding sales talent to build future pipeline.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a broadcast, digital sales or marketing role
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales team
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and direct responsibility for growing revenue in the television sales industry

Desired Characteristics:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to articulate all deal points in a clear and concise manner to client and agency decision makers, as well as internal constituents
• Demonstrated leadership skills including an ability to work across divisions and departments
• Must possess a driving ''want-to win'' attitude with a proven track record of sales/marketing achievements
• Solid background in building and cultivating strategic relationships
• Proven track record in driving, developing and mentoring high performance teams
• The ability to lead change with creativity and imagination
• Experience with and an understanding of the digital/new media industry
• Thorough knowledge of the Dallas-Ft. Worth market, including but not limited to current events, local businesses, and business issues
• A results-driven focus and a detail-oriented mindset
• Successful track record and proven ability to persuade, build consensus, and work on a collaborative team basis, driving multiple projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree is a plus

Additional Requirements:
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
• Must be able to travel as needed
• Must be willing to work in Ft. Worth just south of DFW airport
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid Driver's License
