Job Description
Part-time Temp Admin AssistantWe are seeking a reliable, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented Broadcast Assistant to support our team during live remote broadcasts for the THV11 Summer Cereal Drive. This role involves assisting with the setup, execution, and breakdown of live television remotes in various field locations. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of broadcast technology, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
This is a part-time temporary position to help with our summer cereal drive without a marketing team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the transportation, setup, and teardown of broadcast equipment including cameras, lighting, audio gear, tripods, cabling, and monitors.
• Support field producers, camera operators, and engineers during live and recorded remote segments.
• Ensure all gear is properly connected, tested, and functioning before going live.
• Run cables, manage equipment logistics, and maintain a safe, organized work environment on-site.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues under the supervision of the technical director or engineer.
• Communicate with studio and control room teams to ensure signal integrity and timing coordination.
• Load and unload production vehicles and assist in gear maintenance and inventory.
Requirements:
• Experience in broadcast production, live events, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of video, audio, and communications equipment a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction closely.
• Flexibility in scheduling - must be available for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Familiarity with industry-standard broadcast protocols and equipment (ENG, IFB, RF, etc.) is a bonus.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Strong team player who thrives under pressure.
• Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality in a live production environment.
