Responsibilities:
Assist producers with daily tasks
Research and write content for the web and social media
Write stories for daily segments
Assist with various production elements including prepping the studio for the LIVE show
Assist with communicating with guests and clients
Requirements:
Ability to demonstrate good judgment with an understanding of journalistic standards and editorial ethics
Ability to multi-task
Experience with publishing platforms, current digital and social media technologies and SEO best practices
Ability to learn fact-checking, reporting, writing, and editing
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Work calmly under deadlines and adjusts quickly as priorities change
Current college student and studying journalism, communications, broadcasting or a related field
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Current driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations
