Anchor-Reporter (Temporary)
NEWS CENTER Maine, TEGNA's NBC station based in Portland and Bangor, Maine, has a part-time opening for a freelance news anchor based in the Portland newsroom.
We want a smart, relentless news hound with a heart. Someone who sets aside bias and follows the facts. The right candidate can work seamlessly with newscast producers and field reporters for a statewide audience. You must understand the intrinsic connection between the broadcast and Social Media platforms and be able to fluidly move between them before and sometimes during a newscast.
Requirements:
• 5-7 years reporting and anchoring
• Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or similar field
• Quality news writing and copy editing
• Experience with web content management systems
• Active on Twitter, FB, and Instagram
