The Senior Visualization Supervisor is a critical role in helping us deliver our vision and is responsible for contributing towards what the final project is going to look like, in a timely manner, through their area of craft.

The role requires a charismatic, detail-oriented, highly creative and/or technical leader who has a desire to continuously improve. The Senior Visualization Supervisor will help set the standard of the department, delivering their task to the exacting standards of the show.

Candidates should have experience as a Visualization Supervisor on multiple features and will need to provide a list of directors with whom they have collaborated.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director, VFX Supervisor and/or other creative leads on the film or series to design and deliver effective Previs/Postvis of key sequences.
• Take responsibility to meet the pressures and demands of a production schedule, working with the Production team to deliver on time and on budget.
• Work closely with the Production team to ensure an accurate production schedule is set up and maintained.
• Define and interpret specific instructions from the client.
• Work with pipeline and engineering teams to develop and improve the pipeline and tools.
• Communicate clearly and confidently across different teams, from client to editorial, to production, and build good relationships with them.
• Help develop talent and foster professional growth among crew
• During review sessions, discuss changes with the client and offer creative input and technical solutions to enhance continuity and consistency of the sequence.

Qualifications
• Encompasses all skills of a Senior Previs Artist/Anim Lead and have mastery of all regularly used tools
• Use proper conduct and etiquette with team and clients
• Operate with the hightest standards regarding security protocols and NDA compliance
• Motivate employees, providing effective feedback to artists, goal/deadline setting, continuous self-improvement
• Creative problem solving
• Helps train artists and understand how to develop artists' abilities
• Learn to assist with bidding for shot production alongside Visualization Producer and Head of Visualization
• Knowledge of film-making practices and terminology
• Extremely clever, innovative, and creative overall sequence design and staging
• Ability to do basic editing to create a cohesive sequence when needed
• Confidence to contribute to the pre-production process as a key creative with a willingness to form a strong bond with the director, executive producers, studio heads, VFX dept, editorial dept and art dept for any given production
• Able to encourage clients to have realistic expectations in a firm but gentle manner
• Communication with departments
- Clearly understand when to flag project concerns to our production team
- Communicates with our internal production team on current and foreseen problems that will need to be addressed
• Takes ownership and responsibility for company culture (thinks about team building, encourages group activities, group lunches, etc)
• Required knowledge of other film departments and working with them to produce cohesive assets:
- Working closer with the Production Designer and Art Directors from the production side Art Dept. Trading 3D models and getting concept art to produce approved assets, dealing with the set decoration to get proper set measurements and requirements all met
- VFX Dept – delivering our scene files, understanding VFX practical shoots and their limitations

Required Skills & Experience:
• Associated degree or equivalent in areas of computer animation
• If no qualifications, 8+ years of experience working within a Visualization company or department
• Good working knowledge of relevant software tools, including Windows, Maya, Unreal, After Effects, Premiere
• Creative/Innovative – Must have a strong sense of creativity to bring ideas to life, a curious drive to find the most efficient techniques and a passion for learning to continuously improve knowledge of their craft
• Focused – Must have a keen eye for detail to ensure every element reaches the expected quality and technical standards. Have a strong work ethic.
• Critical thinking – To be able to highlight areas of inefficiency and have a strong problem-solving mentality
• Time Management – Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks on schedule
• Communication – To be able to broadcast effectively any issues/solutions/actions. Take onboard constructive criticism and follow through creative direction. Collaborate effectively, working as a team.
• Measure of Success/Key Performance Indicators: Ability to keep your show on schedule and keep the clients happy with the work
