Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Rigging Lead and Supervisor is to plan and execute the rigging team's day-to-day activities, ensuring that highly adaptable character rigging systems are in place and works well in Game Engine. Must have a comprehensive understanding of game pipelines, development methodologies, and a strong leadership style, as well as exceptional artistic and technical abilities.

Responsibilities: -
• Plan and execute the rigging team's daily tasks.
• Setting up, testing, and maintaining consistent settings. Ascertain that all rigs are published, together with project-specific setup instructions.
• Provide feedback on the work of the artist to verify that it fulfils quality standards and is in line with the client's aesthetic concept.
• Troubleshoot and resolve character-rigging challenges for artists from many disciplines.
• Testing rigs and ensuring they hold up in animation.
• Working with animators to create user-friendly characters.
• Keep regular contact with the Animation Supervisor to ensure that the rigs are meeting the animators' needs. Close coordination and communication with US teams will also be required.
• Ensuring character movements are fluid, free of glitches and believable.
• Keeps the Supervisor informed about a various of issues, including as staffing, resources, deadlines, and problems.
• Assist in the development of training materials or the delivery of group training sessions; mentor members of their team by offering training and knowledge sharing. Any training requirements for their staff should be communicated to the department's head.
• Writing MEL / Python scripts to customize tools to specific automated requirements.
• Maintain a good team dynamic.

Qualifications
• Must have team handling experience in Games Rigging.
• Solid knowledge of human & animal anatomy, mechanics, and movement.
• Understanding of functionalities of limbs, the effect of skin weights, and the behavior of skin and flesh.
• Ability to create calisthenics to test extreme poses.
• Adaptability, especially in terms of quality and time constraints.
• Excellent working knowledge of Maya environment and Nodes.
• Good Knowledge in Unreal Engine.
• Good Knowledge in Auto Rigs.
• Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines
• Experience with Games pipeline is Must.
• Strong skills in rigging tools and scripting languages like Mel, Python.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and act as a positive role model and mentor.

Any of the following experience is a great advantage
• Having 3dx Max and C++ knowledge is an additional advantage.
