Key Responsibilities:
• Leading, motivating and developing a team.
• Pro-actively manage daily operations of the team to ensure sustainable performance and fulfilment of requirements.
• Ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met, invoices are processed and payments are made on time
• Regular reviewing and reporting of team results.
• Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures developing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies.
• Efficient and accurate processing of a high volume transactions in applicable technology, systems and in a timely manner.
• Appropriate TAX (VAT/ GST / Sales & Use / Other taxes) treatment is applied to all supplier invoices
• Performs random reviews of selected invoices/ batches created by AP processors to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Reviewing of vendor account reconciliations, AP aging, GRIR, accruals.
• Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and timely including month end closing, audits and ad hoc requests.
• Participating in month-end closing process.
• Preparing reports and analysis.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements.
Qualifications
Key competences:
• Professional experience in the area of accounting / bookkeeping, including the knowledge of Purchase to Pay process.
• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Very good command of spoken and written English.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.).
• General understanding of the TAX (VAT/ GST / Sales & Use / Other taxes).
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Methodical approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to details, consistency and quality.
• Able to demonstrate excellent customer/client facing skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, can clearly explain and present problems and issues to others and contribute to their resolution.
• Strong analytical, communication, team handling and delegation skills.
