Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a strategic, high-energy Senior Account Executive to join our Austin team. You've been in the trenches for about 5 years and are looking for your next challenge. This is a role for someone who resists being pigeonholed-you have a passion for dabbling in multiple industries and possess the energy to pivot between them with ease.
We are major proponents of the generalist mentality and the entrepreneurial spirit. We are looking for a versatile professional who understands the evolving PR landscape-someone who knows that a successful campaign in 2026 requires total fluency in how earned media, creator ecosystems, social content, and brand partnerships work together. If you've been on the same account for too long and want to try your hand at a diverse roster spanning tech, entertainment, social good, and lifestyle, this is your chance to figure out what you love as you DO.
The Role:
• Active Media Pitching: You are a proactive, relentless pitcher who knows how to move the needle. You leverage an established network to secure high-impact features, product reviews, and trend stories across a variety of verticals-from national business outlets to niche lifestyle trades.
• Modern Storytelling: Support the development of 360-degree communications strategies. You understand how to architect a narrative that begins with a news break, is amplified by creators, and lives authentically across social platforms.
• Media Impact & Events: Plan and lead media-specific events, from influencer launches to press conferences. You own the ground game: developing invite lists, managing RSVPs, wrangling media on-site, and distributing post-event results.
• Content Command: Produce sophisticated, client-ready materials including press releases, social briefs, creative pitches, and executive briefing notes. You are a fast, persuasive writer.
• Account Stewardship: Partner with Senior Managers to achieve deliverables for a roster of 4–6 clients. You are the glue of the account, ensuring that client requests are handled with efficiency and professional poise.
• Mentorship in Action: Proactively mentor and teach junior team members on your account teams.
• Relationship Driven: You understand that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, clients, and the media-prioritizing trust and integrity in every interaction.
Who You Are:
• The Generalist Lead: 4+ years of experience in communications, PR, or integrated media relations. You are eager to apply your skills to multiple industries rather than just one.
• The Tenacious Pitcher: You have a growing list of relationships with media across a variety of verticals and know how to leverage those connections to secure impactful, career-moving media opportunities for your clients.
• Fluency in the New Landscape: You have a well-rounded understanding of how media relations, social media, creator marketing, and brand partnerships work together to create a complete strategy.
• High EQ: You possess high EQ and situational awareness. You have strong decision-making abilities and the accountability to own your role and make the call when necessary.
• A Meticulous Writer: You are fast, persuasive, and detail-oriented. You can translate a complex brand story into a clear, compelling narrative for any platform.
• Entrepreneurial & Curious: You have an innate curiosity and a proactive attitude. You love a good brainstorm and aren't afraid to bring a bold, new idea to the table.
• Driven to Over-Deliver: You take genuine pride in exceeding expectations and are energized by work that allows you to be a part of something good.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 Per Year ($ USD)
