Job Description
Summary of Position

The Vice President, Global Product Operations will be responsible for driving operational vision, strategy and execution of the domestic and international non-linear, Starz SVOD services. These services include the Starz and StarzPlay APPs, Partner Starz Channel SVOD storefronts, and Affiliate On Demand products. Along with their team, the VP will partner with cross-functional departments including Distribution, Programming, Technology, Marketing, Analytics and International to ensure optimized Starz product execution and operations.
• Be accountable for digital content merchandising strategy across OTT platforms, ensuring program and promotional content placement and delivery is in-line with Programming and Marketing strategy.

• Set strategy to continually drive improvements in customer engagement with content on digital platforms by highlighting relevant content, recommending platform feature sets, and using testing methodologies.

• Manage and lead team in multiple locations that is responsible for the operational strategy and execution of all Starz non-linear products.

• Establish operational excellence by refining, identifying, and implementing processes that support the efficient operation of the non-linear product set taking into account the 24/7 and global nature of the services. This requires close partnership with Programming, International, Marketing, Analytics and Technology departments.

• Lead operational partner on-boarding and subsequent content distribution; build and maintain on-going partner relationships. Ensure technical and operational partner requirements are properly evaluated and communicated across the internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Starz Technology team to optimize content delivery workflows, define and prioritize department technology needs and initiatives, and drive forward operational tech tool-set.

Responsibilities
• Be a thought leader across the business and technology teams to identify opportunites and gaps in operation.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and make long term improvement recommendations; see recommendations through to implementation.

• Be data driven, highlight measurement tactics that analyze the effectiveness of feature tactics and optimize efforts for maximum customer engagement.

• Maintain knowledge of competitor services and advances with the SVOD market, especially as it relates to new features and operational capabilities.

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders proactively, providing context and judgment.

• Manage vendors that contribute to Starz content distribution globally.

Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience in the streaming, SVOD media industry with expertise in content and media operations.

• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with a cross functional team.

• Understanding of, and experience with, Programming and Marketing within the media industry.

• Experience managing and building a team in growth, motivating towards business goals.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Inclination to operate with urgency; availability off-hours when needed.

• Experience with workflow, process definition, and management.

• Highly detail oriented with ability to function and communicate at multiple levels in an organization.

• Knowledge of, and experience with, a variety of media specifications and ability to translate for non-technical users.

• Familiarity with international content localization and regulations.

• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

• Ability to travel as required.
