Job Description

Summary of Position:

Starz is currently seeking a Senior Analyst of International Insights to join the Insights and Analytics team. She/he will serve as a change agent in the company, guiding the company in our aggressive international expansion efforts.
The candidate will have an extremely versatile skillset, be highly collaborative, and work cross-functionally to help the Insights & Analytics team provide actionable insights to the international team.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Analytics
• Provide marketing team with deep and actionable audience, creative, and media insights

• Partner with multi-disciplinary teams and media partners to define and implement campaign measurement of integrated marketing campaigns

• Identify opportunities for campaign optimization to ensure every marketing dollar is spent as efficiently as possible

• Partner with the Senior Manager, International Insights & Analytics on performance marketing design strategies, including the formulation of robust test & learn strategies to drive specific learning agendas

• Conduct audience research to identify key behavioral, demographic and attitudinal traits to inform the development and targeting of future marketing campaigns

• Leverage complex models to assess optimal marketing mixes/Knowledge of marketing mix modelling desirable

Business Intelligence
• Build and design dashboards that enable on-going monitoring of key metrics to assess overall business health

• Use a mix of analytic tools and SQL to access, analyze, and summarize large data sets

• Develop processes and protocols around data monitoring/validation, ingesting, and structuring that facilitates the growth of the international team’s analytics agenda

Consumer Insights
• Continually monitor and report high level consumer trends in all current and future territories

• Provide support to the planning, design, and execution of consumer and market research to generate qualitative insights about our subscribers, programming, brand, and industry

Experience & Skills:
• College degree and equivalent work experience

• 3+ years in marketing analytics including the measurement and evaluation of off-line and online marketing campaign tactics

• Strong understanding of data structures, query languages, and methodologies for maximizing the value of datasets

• Excellent analytical and modeling skills including advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel

• Excellent data visualization skills with a strong preference towards Tableau

• Strong communications skills, including the abilities to translate complex customer data into meaningful insights and deliver business recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior executives

• Deep understanding of optimization processes (e.g. A/B testing) and experimental design (e.g. identifying the variables, treatment structures, etc.)

• Ability to multitask and work on multiple ongoing projects, with minimal oversight, support, and defined process

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Statistical background including model building experience a significant plus

• Experience in the television industry a significant plus, but not a requirement

• Limited travel to NY
