Job Description
Summary of Position

The Corporate Communications coordinator is responsible for supporting the department across corporate communications, diversity and internal communications to ensure a seamless flow of information. Responsibilities include establishing the priority of information and work product, to support the overall business objectives of the department. Responsibilities also include providing assistance to departmental management and carrying out the functional job tasks associated with the department's business purpose as well as establishing priorities and coordinating work activities in conjunction with the managers and employees. Responsible for implementing systems and procedures to provide a range of support functions for department staff.

• Write monthly, special programming pitches and other press materials, as needed

• Handle asset requests, inclusion of assets in press outreach, maintain asset files

• Work with team, company executives, legal and programming publicity team on corporate and/or programming announcements. Manage PR relationships with external partners as needed

• Manage and oversee Starz.com press area and related corporate materials; work in tandem with PR publicity team members/consultants for programming publicity needs. Ongoing evaluation and updating of Starz.com press area

• Monitor, identify, and research appropriate industry awards for company and/or senior executives. Update executive bios as needed for nominations. Assist/provide support for executive photo shoots

• Assist in planning/coordination of corporate and industry events

• Regularly identify new press targets and maintain and update the department's media lists and online press room

Responsibilities Cont.
• Maintain an archive and central database of all corporate communications collateral materials, including video, art, e-cards and press kits

• Create and distribute the Starz Daily Digest on a daily basis

• Assist in gathering info for the Monthly Employee Newsletter and external newsletters, as needed

• Manage the STARZ corporate social media accounts. Communicate corporate communications announcements/timing with Digital Marketing team, DEI, HR and facilitate assets requests/requirements

• Manage STARZ media room approvals and STARZ PR email inbox

• Interface with Diversity Organizations and Programs

• Assist with Lionsgate Diversity Council and Multi -Cultural Board Activities, as needed

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations or similar discipline is preferred; minimum one to two years of experience in a consumer or business-oriented public relations environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong computer skills including: Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

• Strong research ability and experience

• Knowledge of AP Style

• The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure and pay close attention to details

• Excellent organization, time and project management skills

• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the capacity to communicate via text/messenger with a fast response time

• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work proactively in a fast paced, high volume, creative and deadline oriented environment with the ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround

• Experience working with high-level executive and maintaining the utmost of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company
