Who are we hiring?
Sphere is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Capture Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing complex, cross-functional projects used to create immersive and innovative content for our venues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling, communication, and project management within the capture domain, utilizing both traditional and emerging technologies to deliver exceptional experiences.
The Capture Coordinator will play a key role in supporting Capture department activities at Sphere Studios. Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, this position will oversee and coordinate a wide range of diverse and concurrent capture, camera, audio, and advanced visualization projects with dependencies across various technologies, internal departments, and external stakeholders. All of these projects are focused on creating ultra-high quality imaging for Sphere, ensuring that projects stay on schedule, on scope, and on budget.
What will you do?
• Coordinate and manage projects related to camera systems and strategies, motion control, timelapse, visualization, and other technologies across all production phases.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all timelines, resources, and deliverables are met.
• Ensure Capital project status and tasks are being closely tracked and kept up-to-date.
• Facilitate communication across multidisciplinary teams and departments, ensuring clear alignment on project goals, deadlines, and requirements.
• Provide ongoing support during the development and production stages, identifying and solving challenges as they arise.
• Manage and update department's shared documents and pages, tracking, documenting and archiving completed projects and project learnings.
• Coordinate footage reviews and notetaking for Capture Big Dome reviews with the leads.
• Coordinate team with Studio time tracking, business expenses, procurement and other administrative details.
• Track project schedules and communicate risks, opportunities, and deadlines (internal and external).
• Support Capture team with non-production related test shoots including travel, rentals, expense tracking and scheduling.
• Support the smooth integration of diverse technologies, such as photogrammetry, data management, audio, and 4D capture, into production processes.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and maintain a detailed record of project progress, risks, and outcomes, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?
• 3-5 years experience in live action production, film, cinema, and immersive media
• Highly organized with excellent scheduling and task management skills
• Proficiency with the following: MS Office 360, Calendar, Excel, PowerPoint, Airtable, Jira, and Confluence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is critical with a proven ability to identify key concepts and communicate effectively with key leaders within the team and other departments.
• Basic understanding of any of the following: cameras and lensing, gimbal stabilization, timelapse, live streaming, photogrammetry scanning, data management, motion capture, and virtual cameras
• Ability to work autonomously while having a clear sense of when to seek counsel from a senior team member
• Be able to work calmly under pressure and/or challenging conditions
• Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Pay Range
$53,000 - $75,000 USD
