Southwest Scenic Group is a premier provider of custom scenic and staging solutions for the live event and production industries. With a strong reputation built over years of excellence, we specialize in delivering high-impact environments for Corporate Meetings, Broadcast News Sets, Live Performances, Themed Attractions, Exhibits, Product Displays, and Special Events nationwide.

We are currently seeking an Account Executive/Sales representative to be based in our corporate office in Tempe, Az

This position is involved in all aspects of the sales cycle including estimation, generation proposals, and final invoicing. As well as discerning and distributing information to the production team, while acting as the liaison, when required, between the client and the overall production team. This position requires highly effective, motivated sales experts who exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

● Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their event goals and offering tailored scenic and staging solutions.

● Sales & Project Estimation: Produce accurate quotes, proposals, and post-event invoicing. Analyze RFPs, RFQs, CAD drawings, and renderings to build detailed, itemized project estimates.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal departments—including fabrication, graphics, finish, inventory, and operations—to ensure seamless project execution.

● Project Oversight: Create and manage internal documentation and client communications throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through final delivery.

● Business Development: Proactively build new client relationships through cold calls, in-person meetings, referrals, and networking to expand the company’s client base.

● Client-Facing Coordination: Represent the company at client meetings and site visits. Ensure objectives and expectations are clearly communicated to all teams involved.

Requirements & Qualifications

● Industry Experience: 3–5 years of experience in the live events, corporate meetings, or production industry with a background in scenic and staging production.

● Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to review technical drawings and design documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other common productivity tools.

● Communication & Organization: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities are essential.

● Creative Problem Solving: Ability to translate creative concepts into viable scenic elements. Able to engage with the production team, in solution-based problem solving on the client’s behalf. Able to conceptualize, aesthetically with spatial awareness. Thrive under pressure and motivate teams toward project success.

● Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

● Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

● Salary: Competitive base salary ($50,000–$75,000 DOE) plus commission structure.
