Job Description
Virtual Production Engineer

As the Virtual Production Engineer, you will be part of the Virtual Production Team at SIS. You will be responsible for the technical operation and upkeep of a complete on-set virtual production system. You will work with, and integrate complex hardware, video, and software solutions for virtual production, such as camera tracking, Mo-Cap technologies, and video signals. During productions you will be on stage providing technical support and ensuring the technology is operating as expected. You will be working closely with the Engineering team, creatives, and production teams.

Core Responsibilities
• Manage camera tracking, Mo-Cap, and AV signal workflows
• Provide on-set technical support for productions
• Ensure the stage operation stability
• Work with Engineers, Creatives, and Production teams
• Collect and triage issues with Engineering team

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7 to 10 years of experience in VFX production workflow and/or Mo-Cap systems
• Understanding of AV signal flow
• Understanding of real-time systems such Unreal Engine
• Ability to execute technically difficult work during time-pressure of live production
• Excellent diagnosing and debugging skills in solving issues in complex systems comprised of computers, video equipment, and software
• Detail oriented and highly organized to manage a variety of tasks in an efficient way
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure
• Proactive self-starter looking for ways to improve current workflow and systems
• Any animation-related skills are plus
