Traffic Coordinator - Sony Pictures Television

This job exists to ensure the proper scheduling of units and distribution of SPT's programming. It entails working with sales on the placement of units on a national general rate level, a direct response level and a fee spot level. The job requests copy/creative instructions from external agency clients, tracks advertiser requests for positions, days and times of air then schedules units accordingly in a given program. This position works with multiple internal and external groups to confirm scheduling and distribution is satisfactory.

Responsibilities include:
• • Ensure proper scheduling of units across all assigned syndicated properties
• • Assist Sales Assistants with splitting/combining units in Dealmaker to confirm it correlates with client traffic instructions
• • Work with Supervisor and Traffic team to check all shows before they are sent out for integration
• • Liaison between dub houses and advertising agencies
• • Communicate with agency clients to track missing tapes and missing traffic instructions
• • Partner with dub houses and integration point person in LA on specific shows to ensure proper satellite feeds
• • Work with stations, Supervisor and Sales Executives to ensure accurate make-goods are scheduled when spots are missed due to preemptions
• • Meet strict integration deadlines
• • Investigate invoice discrepancies and work with Finance, Sales Executives, Supervisor, and Sr. Management on resolution
• • Work with Planning on inventory issues, pending move requests and recapping to ensure proper scheduling of all existing units and pending units as it pertains to an assigned program
• • Troubleshoot inventory/client needs prior to scheduling units
• • Work with Sales on the creation of new inventory types and the formation of the creative, i.e.: blended :20s
• • Work with show production (Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy) on format changes, inventory, formation of creative, creative approval and final schedules that meet their VTR deadlines.
• • Fulfill client requests for pre and post logs
• • Work with clients to convey and assist in meeting deadlines
• • Educate clients on what materials are needed for each vendor (varies by outlet, program, vendor)

Requirements include:
• BA Preferred
• 1 - 2 years of related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and basic software applications (e.g. Outlook).
• Effective oral communication and presentation skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Independent prioritization, organizational and decision-making skills
• Work effectively on a team and independently
• Consistently keep all relevant parties apprised of on-going situations in a timely manner
• Proactively review existing procedures and processes and recommend streamlining ideas
• Effectively juggle multiple high level priorities
