The Sony Pictures Entertainment Professional Trainee program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. This Summer/Fall Professional Trainee position is from May/June through December 11th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

The Talent and Casting Trainee will be a part of the team tasked with casting Sony Pictures Television shows. This person will learn about all different areas of casting while working closely with other creative departments. This position gives hands on experience and a deep dive into the world of casting as well as learning the necessary skills to become an assistant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Observing casting tests and table reads
• Letting us know when you see a great performance in a movie, TV show or web-series
• Helping with some light filing
• Creating and printing lists
• Printing and reading scripts
• Maintaining the cast board and all contact sheets
• Answering phones and doing rolling calls
• Assisting during all live tests in our casting screening room
• Creating a schedule for the day and greeting guests. Sitting in on some general meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous relevant professional experience in a TV or Film department is mandatory (internships, etc.)
• Experience in covering a desk
• Ability to articulate opinions on different actors they see in TV, Film and movies
• Passion for acting in films and television
• Must be extremely organized
• Great phone etiquette
• Must be able to read a script and do coverage with proven experience
• Must work well under pressure
• Must anticipate office needs
• No task too small
