SVP and Chief Procurement Officer

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior VP and Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) leads procurement efforts across all business units and corporate functions within Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). The CPO is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing, diverse team that effectively collaborates with one another, internal stakeholders across the company, and external partners to achieve the best outcome for SPE.

Together with their team, they will define the procurement strategy, oversee contract management, support strategic alliances, and provide guidance for sourcing activities across all categories from Production and Marketing to Travel and Technology. Focused on aligning with internal stakeholders' overall objectives, the CPO leads the Procurement team to provide sourcing solutions, negotiate agreements, and manage relationships to deliver year-over-year cost savings and operational efficiencies. As a senior leader at SPE, the CPO must embody and promote the values of integrity, empathy, transparency, respect of diverse opinions, and maintaining a sustainable workload.

Responsibilities:
• Engage internal stakeholder groups to understand their priorities and provide sourcing support that meets each group's needs
• Develop Procurement's strategy based on internal stakeholders' needs and the wider company strategy
• Support organization-wide spend, identifying innovative ways to assist the organization in meeting its objectives, e.g., by adopting outsourcing best practices, bundling services, sourcing diverse suppliers, and increasing security across critical categories
• Assess current processes, policies, tools, and systems to identify gaps and develop a roadmap to improve the purchasing experience at SPE, likely to include:
• Continuing to develop and execute on a comprehensive supplier diversity program
• Establishing a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program that identifies strategic suppliers, sets metrics, and measures and manages suppliers' performance
• Assessing risks across the current base of suppliers and identifying opportunities to mitigate those risks
• Provide direction and oversee the development and maintenance of positive supplier relationships
• Build a best-in-class Procurement organization that leverages the team's capabilities, creates an environment that is motivating, provides opportunities for development, and maximizes the return on investment of the department

Requirements:
• Strategic mindset and proven analytical, problem-solving, project management, negotiation, and quantitative skills
• Demonstrated excellence in managing and leading organizations of similar size and scope with a servant leadership mindset
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a dynamic set of internal stakeholders and external partners, including the ability to listen and understand differing perspectives, as well as influence a diverse set of stakeholders
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with global procurement and sourcing processes, legal contract negotiations, and contract management systems
• Working knowledge of budgeting, cost management, treasury, and risk management
• 10+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing and operational management or related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Preferred: MBA or other related advanced degree and a professional Procurement/ Supply Chain Management designation (e.g., CSCP, CPM)
• Technically proficient with basic application software; proficient in MS Office Suite
