Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Manager, Media & Talent Relations, Europe, to join our TV division in London. Reporting to the SVP, Media & Talent Relations, the role supports the sale and launch of Sony TV series across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
• Meet with the international sales and marketing teams on a regular basis to strategize on pre- and post- sales support, discuss upcoming deals and added value for client relationships.
• Supporting our broadcast partners across EMEA in developing and implementing PR strategies to generate positive publicity for Sony TV shows.
• Liaise with LA office on interview requests for SPT actors by EMEA press.
• Assisting with virtual/in-person press junkets and set visits to support key campaigns, shows and talent which includes all management, logistics, budgets and schedules.
• Territory expert – sound knowledge about broadcasting trends, PR campaigns, product successes, key publications/entertainment related media in territory.
• Familiar with high profile international TV Festivals; ability to liaise with festival organisers and work closely with talent reps to facilitate requests for virtual/in-person panel sessions or interview access.
• Excellent journalist relations across a broad range of media, broadsheets, consumer magazines, social media outlets and broadcast. Maintains and builds on existing relationships with relevant international journalists including all US based stringers to capitalise on any Domestic activity.
• Working alongside the US team in formulating talent access strategies to promote and enhance talent profiles Internationally.
• Overseeing international award submissions, collating materials, liaising with production and submitting entries on their behalf.
• Analyse US launch campaign details, sharing with territory marketing teams.
• Participate in regular conference calls with LA publicity dept.
Qualifications and/or Experience Required
• Typically 5+ years in entertainment publicity; experience at a studio desirable.
• Experience in an International role, supporting teams in territory.
• Strong interpersonal skills required and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade others.
• Proven track record in delivering creative publicity campaigns that meet and exceed business objectives.
• Good understanding of broadcast environment.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• Proficient in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
