Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will collaborate will be responsible of ensuring up-time and technical management of SPE LATAM Digital Products including Apps, Web sites as well as managing technologies and partners to exponentially grow audience and monetization.

Core Responsibilities
• Ensure that products are running correctly, issues are reported, and down-time is minimized
• Provide recommendations for Q.A. processes, automation, partners and overall strategy and tactics to ensure issues are anticipated and addressed on a timely manner
• Manage ticketing and reporting in collaboration with internal and external partners
• Responsible for managing updates and upgrades on a timely manner
• Anticipate technology changes that may impact the correct function of digital products
• Develop request for proposals and project plans
• Manage third party vendors and developers to successful up-time.
• Manage routing deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop persuasive presentations in order to sell through ideas and concepts to worldwide network stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Keen interest in digital pop culture, TV, Film and emerging technologies. (Web 3.0, Mobile Products, Social Media, Video and Entertainment Sites.)
• Extensive knowledge of Agile methodology applied to managing large projects in concert with stakeholders, direct reports and external partners
• Able to prioritize feature requests based on a broad strategy and goals
• An enthusiastic user of new technologies, i.e., an early adopter
• Experience developing Q.A strategies and tactically executing them
• Solid understanding of web and mobile technology; 3-5 years of experience involving product development and/or Q.A.
• Competent in managing projects, including complex, dynamic web sites, touch screen, mobile and tablet functionality.
• Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate issues and report project status to a diverse non-technical audience
• Ability to troubleshoot and keep a project on track a must
• Must be detail oriented, quality driven, straightforward, self-motivated and proactive.
• Experience mentoring other team members
• Self-starter who is able to work independently and communicate back to peers, and the team. Managing up is a must.
• Must be a team player and manage tight deadlines professionally
• Technical knowledge involving project development tools such as Drupal, JIRA, analytics tools, video CMS.
• Basic understanding of programming and markup languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Java, and/or XML.
• Knowledge of English and Spanish language and Portuguese a plus
• 4+ years of education required
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5 years work experience within the digital industry working directly on one or more of the following: Streaming, Messaging, Web, Video, Mobile or OTT.
• 3-5 years work experience within the Q.A., reporting or related responsibilities
• Knowledge of Drupal 7.x or a similar CMS is required
• Knowledge of iOS and Android development is required
• Experience with content creation is a plus
• Must maintain an entrepreneurial mindset
• Passionate and fast learner
