Job Description
The Network Services Engineer is responsible for providing support functions including equipment configuration, problem determination and resolution, follow policies, procedures and processes governing the use and operation of the company's global network infrastructure assets.

The Network Services Engineer will be involved on performing proof of concept of new tools and help with the implementation and testing before going to production. This position requires a heavy emphasis on event-based monitor the Global Network footprint and out of band solutions.

This position requires an emphasis on problem management, as well as building and maintaining positive business relationships with the IT Organizations, clients and vendors.

Fulfillment of responsibilities must be performed with a minimum amount of supervision.

Responsibilities:
• Perform installations and configurations of multiple networking devices (i.e., Routers, Switches, Wireless access points, IP addressing, etc.) according to best practices.
• Familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM) tool like ServiceNow
• Establish standards for network hardware and services.
• Work closely with the project captain, helping with the labeling, tagging, burning, staging, and configuring equipment (Cisco switches and Cisco Access Points) following templates provide by them.
• Work closely with Telecom team and make sure that WIFI equipment is configured and provided to them at least 3 days before cutover for installation.
• Team player and able to adjust if schedule changes with short notice.
• Help if required on cutover and after cutover testing, these windows will be for the most part after hours.
• Participate on the weekly project meeting.
• Provide oral and written status reports to IT management, project captain and Project manager

Requirements:
• Detailed knowledge of Cisco hardware platforms, switching, routing (including EIGRP, BGP), IOS, IPv6, TCP, cabling infrastructure, firewalls, remote access systems, wireless, MPLS, VPN, multicast, wide area networking technologies, DNS/DHCP/NTP (Infoblox) , authentication technologies, 802.1x, spanning-tree, layer 2 security, ISE, QoS, F5 load-balancing and Wireless technology.
• Minimum 3 years employment in the IT industry working with a major systems and vendors.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with Cisco based network environments and Wireless Technology.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with multi-tiered network infrastructure environment.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with security Policy Technology, experience with ISE is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with managing identity technology, preferable Infoblox and UltraDNS.
• Minimum 1 year experience with advanced out-of-band management and automation, experience with ZPE is plus.
• Working knowledge with other systems technologies (MPLS, SDWan and VRF's), experience with Graphiant is a plus.
• Working knowledge with troubleshooting tools (Splunk and Thousand Eyes)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Knowledge of:
• SolarWinds or an equivalent NMS platform background
• IP Addressing assignment, addressing, troubleshooting, performance tuning.
• Experience with various network operations tools, performance monitoring tools, diagnostics tools.

Skill In:
• Strong interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work effectively with team members, clients and other areas of the IT environment.
• Strong written and oral communications
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong decision-making skills and make sound judgment decisions.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000-$120,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
