Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Direct-to-Consumer Media Networks

The Direct-to-Consumer Media Networks team is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis for its Culver City office. This position, reporting into VP of Finance, is accountable for all aspects of FP&A and home office responsibilities for Game Show Network (leader in game show entertainment with original, classic and skill-based competitive mobile games and game shows in top 30 rated cable networks), Pure Flix (subscription video on-demand leader in selecting and streaming faith and family-friendly media) and Sony Pictures Games for award-winning mobile game titles such as Wheel of Fortunes, Jeopardy!, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Looking for an Excel-savvy finance professional who can demonstrate strong financial modeling & analytical skills and has great attention to detail under competing deadlines. The person would strive in creating and reviewing financial analysis that merges monthly actuals with meaningful projections and presenting the report to management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze monthly financial results and forecast from local finance teams with a critical-thinking lens and manage the variance explanations with a root-cause analysis
• Hands-on preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and multiple-year Mid-Range Plans for multiple lines of business including but not limited to: maintaining Excel workbooks, meeting with operations for updates, understanding business contracts, analyzing supporting data, and submitting forecast templates
• Create and manage insightful analyses, reports and presentations on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior executives to influence decision-making
• Collaborate, build and maintain strong relationships with local finance and management teams, accounting group, global tax office and various internal/external groups
• Be an integral part of the Finance team and help structure/improve Finance processes
• Develop and maintain long-term company financial model, perform sensitivity analysis, build scenario cases for strategic planning (Lifetime Value Model, etc)
• Design, develop, implement, and improve processes related to budgeting, forecasting, actual financial reporting and analysis in high growth business
• Conduct analysis of key business/financial drivers, performance indicators, internal development efforts, industry trends, competitive landscape and other defined assumptions to provide value-added inputs to help decision making in executing strategy
• Work closely with onsite and offshore accounting and reporting teams to ensure accuracy and full understanding of the monthly financial and variance explanation
• Review programming amortization and impairment analysis with accounting & drive the original production greenlight process with close coordination with all teams
• Supervise Senior Financial Analyst(s) and prioritize deliverables
• Support in new business plan evaluations and related analysis
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis

Qualifications:
• 5+ years management consulting or banking experience including at least 2 years of managerial experience
• Prior experience in Digital Media/Entertainment/technology/digital space is a plus, but not a prerequisite
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field that demonstrates quantitative orientation
• Proven track record in budget and forecast modeling
• High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Presentation experience a plus.
• Ability to work with high volume of data from multiple sources and workbooks.
• SAP experience strongly preferred. Enterprise accounting system experience required.
