Distribution & Content Services - Senior Financial Analyst

Distribution Content Services (DCS) is Sony Pictures' centralized, global center of excellence responsible for intake, mastering, localization, archiving, restoration and fulfillment of all Features and Television content for the Studio. DCS orchestrates the delivery of all SPE content across all markets and territories on its way towards exploitation.

The DCS Senior Financial Analyst will support the Financial Planning & Reporting and Business Analytics needs of the organization. In addition, this role will have exposure to the upstream content creation process through its alignment under the Motion Picture Group (MPG) Finance organization, including Studio Operations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecast and Mid-Range Plan processes for the DCS organization, including both overhead and title distribution spend.
• Leverage robust pools of title data to develop predictive analytic tools to help drive proactive management decision-making.
• Serve as a super-user resource for DCS's proprietary project & spend management system leveraged across the Studio.
• Interact with all levels of the organization in support of special projects.
• Work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely submissions to Corporate. Will manage headcount, P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet variance analyses and reconciliations.
• Seek opportunities to standardize and streamline planning processes across MPG and develop new planning tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience in Finance or related analytical field. Big 4/Consulting experience a plus.
• B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Business, Mathematics or Economics preferred.
• Hands-on budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, & Word a must, knowledge of SAP, SQL, VBA, Visio, Tableau a plus.
