Financial Analyst, Production Finance Operations

Join our TV Production Finance Department as a Financial Analyst in Production Finance Operations. If you are motivated, organized, and detail-focused, with a passion for financial analysis and the entertainment industry, we want to meet you. This role will centralize around banking operations, lease database management, and financial reporting, working closely with several internal teams.

Among other tasks, you will serve as the TVP Finance liaison to various departments of Sony, including Treasury and the Cap Gemini teams. The successful candidate should possess exceptional organization skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Flexibility is also key, as you will lead multiple projects simultaneously and adjust course quickly when necessary.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain Domestic and Canadian bank accounts.
• Administer bank account setup and implementation.
• Handle banking requests, such as signatory cards, user entitlements, encashment privileges, and certified check requests.
• Collaborate with Production Accounting teams to devise cash flow forecasts and supervise the funding process.
• Manage the stop payment and outstanding checks procedures.
• Process and reconcile Domestic and Canadian deposits.
• Partner with offshore teams to address issues concerning positive pay and bank reconciliations.
• Keep accurate, updated records of TV production leases.
• Research and furnish necessary documentation for statutory reporting and foreign transfer pricing.
• Execute SAP journal entries.
• Undertake ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

Technical Skills:
• Aptitude for new concepts and effective problem-solving.
• Profound knowledge of financial systems and banking.
• Robust project management skills and capability to work with significant autonomy.
• Expertise in MS Excel and familiarity with Global Vista, Smart Accounting, and SAP/S4 Hana.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization, including upper management.
• Analytical and enthusiastic about complex problem solving and analysis using financial applications, with a particular focus on advanced Excel skills.

Basic Qualifications:
• Education: BA/BS degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Preferably 2+ years of film and/or television industry finance or accounting experience

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be willing to work in Culver City, CA

The anticipated base salary for this position is $59,600 - $78,200. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
