Job Description
Financial Analyst- Global Facilities, Security & Administrative Services

The Financial Analyst is accountable for the administration of Worldwide Facilities, Global Security, Safety & Sustainability (S3), and Administrative Services groups fixed asset purchases and construction project requests. The goal is to provide timely and accurate financial information to aide management in the capital expenditure decision making processes.

II. Primary Responsibilities

1. Prepare scheduled and periodic capital reports

2. Coordinate capital expenditure accounting activities

3. Maintain the fixed asset ledgers for Worldwide Facilities, S3, Administrative Services and Innovation Studios

4. Complete various special projects and ad-hoc reporting at the direction of management

5. Furnish capital expenditure information to other departments as needed

6. Support the Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecast and Mid-Range plan capital process

7. Collaborate with Global Finance Operations (GFO) team to track project numbers and Fixed Asset Requisition (FAR) requests

III. Responsibility Details

1. Prepare scheduled and periodic capital reports
• Prepare monthly spending reports by obtaining information from SAP and exporting the data to

spreadsheets, cost figures are separated to operational divisions and balanced to the general ledger
• Produce a monthly management report detailing the divisional budgets, actual expenditures, and proposed projects/expenditures
• Accumulate information and prepare quarterly cash flow forecasts
• Prepare detailed depreciation schedules for the Annual Budget and Mid-Range plan (MRP)

2. Coordinate capital expenditure accounting activities
• Audit spending reports for mischarges and correct as necessary
• Audit management reports for projects with spending over by 10% or more to the approved FAR

budget, contact project supervisor about preparing change orders, aid as needed
• Audit management reports for projects opened by use of a Project Number Request form (PNR) and

have not provided an approved FAR on a timely basis, follow through with project supervisors
• Prepare monthly journal entries (reclassifications, depreciation) as needed

4. Maintain the fixed asset ledgers for Worldwide Facilities, S3, and Administrative Services
• Quarterly analyze the spending & management reports for projects that are complete, coordinate with

the operating divisions to get approval to technically close the project
• Work with GFO team to set up assets in the SAP system and classify according to improvements, purchases etc. for quarterly capitalization
• Periodically (semi-annual at least) write off fully depreciated assets that are no longer considered of any

value to or in use by SPE

5. Complete various special projects and ad-hoc reporting at the direction of management
• Aid in annual budget, quarterly forecast, and mid-range plan preparation
• Compile information of assets related to abandoned buildings and prepare entries to write off balances
• Create specialized reports for management to provide information that might be needed about projects,

equipment purchases, assets, etc.

6. Furnish capital expenditure information to other departments as needed
• Be a central source for operational divisions to obtain information pertaining to projects, purchases and

assets

V. Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience in Finance or related analytical field; Entertainment industry experience preferred
• B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics or Economics preferred
• Hands-on budgeting and forecasting experience
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word a must; knowledge of SAP, SQL, and VBA a plus
