At Sony Pictures we are looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager to join our team in Gdynia, Poland. This position is an 18 month fixed term Maternity cover.
What you'll do:
• Effectively manage UK Television Production monthly / quarterly close process, supervise and review monthly reporting;
• Review and process monthly submission packs received from Affiliates
• Ensure financial integrity of management reporting
• Oversee TVP EMEA reporting submission to Corporate
• Be key liaison to multiple UK Affiliates – accounting and technical support, review of financials and reporting
• Work closely with local finance and Financial Planning & Analysis to understand and explain variance between actual results and budgets
• Analyse Balance Sheet and P&L activity
• Provide advisory on precautionary measures and improvement of the company's financial standing
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation and company policy
• Manage and support external and internal audit for the division
• Participate actively in projects initiatives
• Identify opportunities for ESOAR (Eliminate, Standardize, Optimize, Automate, Robotize) and work on the implementation
• Present change agent attitude
• Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders (other Lines of Business, Global Financial Operations Towers, Home Office etc), Affiliates and external service provider Capgemini to achieve the highest results
• Support and involvement in ad hoc projects
• Build trust and understanding through communication, inclusion, and transparency
What you have:
• Degree in finance, accounting or other related studies
• Typically 5 years' experience of managing general accounting and control process, or other core finance process, within a complex, large volume environment
• Ability to effectively communicate across the business and external Affiliates with strong English oral and written skills
• Strong financial analysis experience and Excel skills
• Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
• Ability to work independently and in a team depending on the business needs
• Analytical skills and critical mindset to solve problems
• Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
