Job Description

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is looking for an analytical, data-savvy, and collaborative thought leader to join our Datasolutions Business Partnerships team to help unlock data and advanced analytics capabilities in service of our business stakeholder's performance goals.
Our team is responsible for bringing access and advanced analytical action to millions of consumer data points to understand our audiences' preferences and behaviors and drive insight-based business decisions to empower growth across the studio. This entails partnering with the business units to assess their needs and co-create data products as well as best in-class audience and content analyses, consumer trends prediction systems, recommendation modeling and more to help move the needle on business performance.

The Executive Director of Datasolutions Business Partnership will, as the single-thread leader across a select set of business stakeholder groups, be responsible for curating and funneling high-impact and differentiated data, data-science & insights demand into Datasolutions delivery teams and ensuring they yield material and high-impact value for the respective business line. This role will also work in partnership with the broader Business Partnerships team and Datasolutions leadership to help define the groups strategic roadmap and prioritization planning, brining to the table subject matter expertise on their stakeholder's businesses as well as thought leadership on additive opportunities Datasolutions can distinctly deliver to support SPE's growth and competitive position.

Core Responsibilities:

1. DATASOLUTIONS BUSINESS VERTICAL PORTFOLIO GROWTH & SUCCESS
• Accountable for the annual growth of the value datasolutions delivers against assigned business verticals
• Serve as the business vertical subject matter expert with demonstrated ability to represent goals, priorities, opportunities and challenges to surface deep vertical knowledge to guide datasolutions' impact
• Development & manage a strategic plan that shapes the high-value opportunities datasolutions aims to target for each vertical.
• Thought-leadership level command of the distinct value datasolutions offers and the ability to marry that with vertical expertise to ideate, concept and influence a growing pipeline of high-value solutioning asks that move the needle on performance.
• Vertical program management & success oversight – overseeing 'source of truth' on all group deliverables, accumulated impact, planning / QBR sessions, etc. with a constant pulse and ability to surface portfolio needs, commitments and value delivered.

2. DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH VALUE AND BUSINESS IMPACTING DATA & ANALYTICS SOLUTIONS
• Own brief development with expert command, demonstrating strength in articulating business use cases, business impact and measures of success, as well as proficiency in translating asks into clear data and analytics requirements
• Provide ongoing data product, advanced analytics and data-science Solutioning development support and coordination, representing business to support solution refinement, MVP standards, engagement model, use case development, and UAT towards goals. Includes business stakeholder output development and engagement planning.
• Use business KPI's to help develop close-loop measurement plan to ensure quantifiable value is being delivered
• Ensure high quality and impactful outputs translate insights meaningfully for business adoption
• Support of datasolutions prioritization, GTM planning, and product roadmap development by using meaningful business impact to drive resourcing decisions

DATA, ADVANCED ANALYTICS & DATA-SCIENCE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
• Represent and elevate the brand of the datasolutions within SPE and the industry by frequently bringing in new concepts and innovations for us to test
• Bring in knowledge and ensure all analytics and data support into SPE is leveled-up to best practice standards
• Cross business vertical planning and optimization – identifying synergies and cross over opportunities to maximize value across SPE

Job Requirements:
• 10+ years of relevant experience in account or commercial partnerships of a highly analytical driven and fast growth business. Media & Entertainment experience desired.
• 3-5 years of management consultancy and agency experience – leading and turning performance around on major [global] accounts is a plus.
• Hand-on experience in driving Data-science and advanced analytics projects that helped elevate business performance and operational efficiencies.
• Experience fostering internal and external stakeholder relationships, that have yielded positive movement on performance through strategic opportunity creation and execution.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Highly skilled communicator and storyteller: ability to turn complext analytical outputs into meaningful insight and represent value to all levels of stakeholder (with varying degrees of analytics and data literacy). Visualization & Presentation: Represent complex information in easily understood visualization (including Tableau, PowerPoint, Key note, etc). Project Oversight: Strong attention to detail, willingness to wear multiple hats, building and tracking a work plan in a fast-based environment Advanced Analytics: An understanding of business statistics, advanced analytics, supervised and unsupervised machine learning models. Experience with clustering, affinity analysis, segmentation, customer profiling is preferred Translate business objectives into data and analytics requirements: The ability to intake business requirements from various stakeholders in various roles and functions across the studio and translate into requirements for the solutioning and delivery teams. Experiment with various tools and technologies: With the end goal of creating innovative data-driven insights at a quick pace.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $159,300 to $200,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
