Executive Director, Corporate Portfolio Management

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking an Executive Director of Corporate Project Portfolio Management. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem solver who will provide governance and oversight for all Finance, IT, Facilities, and other corporate projects. This individual will report into the Corporate and Central Functions Divisional Finance Team and will have primary responsibilities of project approvals, oversight, reporting, regular communication and strategizing with Product Owners, and ownership of project governance across all corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities May Include:
• Managing the approval process for all corporate projects including vetting of proposal prior to formal approval requests
• Providing project oversight and governance for all corporate projects
• Execution tracking, portfolio status reporting, budget management, and return on investment management
• Developing and maintaining a strategic project planning environment that ensures accountability, consistency, and high-quality project delivery
• Working with product owners and senior management to determine project prioritization and investment decisions
• Extracting and monitoring metrics to identify trends and patterns that may lead to process/system opportunities for improvement
• Participating in all areas of projects, including but not limited to business requirements gathering, process flow definition, solution design, testing, documentation, and training
• Analyzing ROI and cost savings along with revenue enhancement opportunities for various projects
• Providing analysis, status reports, and metrics to senior management
• Serving as a liaison between project teams and other functional areas of the organization

Qualifications:
• Experience running project or capital approvals processes including ongoing tracking and oversight procedures
• Experience with portfolio and resource management technologies
• Detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interface and demonstrate sensitivity effectively at all levels of an organization
• Superior project management and cross-function team management skills
• Comfortable working with, presenting to, and facilitating decisions among senior executives based on evolving priorities. Able to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo
• 8+ years of experience in finance, project/program management, or related discipline
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
