DIRECTOR, TV PRODUCTION FINANCE SYSTEMS

Reporting to the VP, Production Finance, Tax Incentives and Systems, the Director, TV Production Finance Systems is responsible for managing day-to-day operations for Sony Pictures Television (SPT) productions finance systems, inclusive of managing all interfaces and functionality of finance systems as they relate to production accounting/finance for all domestic and international TV production. The Director works with SAP management, Finance Optimization and IT to ensure that all finance systems are working properly and all interfaces related to financial data are functioning as planned. They will be a part of a dynamic and creative SPT Production Finance team, working directly with our production accounting business units, and play a critical role in developing a world class production finance operation systems team.

Responsibilities
• Finance/Accounting point person for TV Production Accounting team as it relates to systems
• Oversee all aspects of production data and finance systems
• Responsible for working with Global Financial Operations team and Finance Optimization, along with Production and Production Accounting on SAP implementation and projects
• Responsible for interfaces of financial data from location accounting software into SAP and other financial management systems
• Financial Data Administrator for 35+ systems/applications overseeing applicable SOX controls
• Handle the systems aspect of TV Production Finance that relates to reconciliations, accounting entries and interfaces and related entity structure accounting and set-up in accordance with SPE policies
• Manage team of 4+ with 3 Direct reports
• Work closely with the VPs of Production Finance to ensure financial data is accurate and complete and that the systems are functioning as designed
• Advocate of the TV Production Accounting vision of TV Production Finance systems in conjunction with other internal/external SPE systems and teams

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required. MBA, CPA, or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of film and/or television industry production accounting experience
• Proficiency in SAP and some Location Accounting systems (Vista/PSL/EASE), Excel, MS Word
• Working knowledge and prior experience with SAP is required
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of development and production processes along with FP&A and data feeds into multiple finance systems
• Knowledge and experience in finance systems – design/implementation and management
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence and good judgment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-organized, detail oriented, self-directed team player; strong initiative and ability to multi-task
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
