Digital Designer, Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy! (Temporary Assignment)
The Creative Center is the global hybrid internal agency within Sony Pictures Television that also services businesses across Sony Pictures Entertainment. This role will evangelize and elevate the brand vision, voice and strategy of two of our biggest, most iconic brands Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! based in Culver City, CA. The purpose of this position is to provide ideation, creative and subsequent execution across multiple campaigns and platforms in the digital/ social space. This position reports into the Executive Creative Director and is dedicated to VP Social/ Editorial running the Wheel of Fortune/ Jeopardy! accounts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
75% Ideates strategic digital design solutions specifically in regards to Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!- is a great storyteller. Has professional working knowledge of all social platforms and has the ability to ideate 360 campaigns and deliverables; social campaigns, newsletters, creative website executions, brand partnerships and sweepstakes, and emerging platform activation. In addition, Designer must be able to work as a team member, but also be a resourceful self-starter. Must exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to see projects from concept through execution with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work seamlessly with other designers, producers, operations staff as well as external partners and vendors. Designer should exhibit impeccable presentation skills. Highly proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (PSD, AI, INDD), Keynote, PPT required. Strong typography, layout and information hierarchy a must. Working knowledge of AE, compositing, and C4D skills. Proficient knowledge of all social platforms, best practices and the latest trends in social media and content creation is key. Is able to take creative direction and relishes collaboration and growth. Required to meet budgets and quick turnaround deadlines. Has a basic understanding of leveraging data and metrics to inform creative when applicable. Agency experience is a must. 15% Designer is a great communicator and is punctual. She/ he maintains an efficient workflow and process and promptly communicates any issues regarding design and production to management. Accurately documents work related information via work orders, etc. Works hand-in-hand with Production and Operations and Brand Social/Editorial team. Manages assets and archives projects accordingly and understands delivery.5% Exhibit willingness to take on responsibilities outside of her/ his job description and has the ability to respond to business demands in a fast-paced environment. Presents a positive and professional attitude to stakeholders and co-workers.
5% Designer is a great communicator and is punctual. She/ he maintains familiarity with current culture, design and marketing trends, social platforms and the relevance of fans and audiences. Exhibits an innate sense of curiosity.
Work Experience Requirements
• 3-5 years in design and production (social, entertainment, digital, experiential).
• Strong proficiency using Adobe CC, PowerPoint. Keynote experience highly preferred.
• Ability to manage projects from concept through execution unsupervised.
• Experience in branding initiatives.
• Passionate about original, acquired and library content as it relates to Wheel of Fortune/ Jeopardy!
• Experience creating design and animation across broadcast, digital, experiential. Including but not limited to logo design, custom typography and illustration skills.
• Experience in storyboarding narratives, concept creation and production execution.
• Experience in editorial, live action, 2D animation, 3D, VEFX, compositing, sonic branding a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Strong knowledge of social platforms.
Strong knowledge of entertainment brands.
Bachelor Degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design or Film
Creativity, leadership, ability to think strategically, innovation, teamwork, ability to multi-task,
communication skills, time management and prioritization skills a must.
In addition to having a passion for all types of content, this individual also has her/ his finger on the pulse of pop culture and social trends in design, marketing and advertising. She/ he is passionate about strategic branding and creative and the elevation of these brands. She/ he is interested in entering, creating and sustaining an informed dialogue with the fan base from existing platforms as well as discovering additional avenues to engage new audiences specifically regarding social content creation.
