This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 15th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Information Security manages overall information security risks posed to the company. The department provides multiple services across all lines of business: Information Security & Risk Management, Incident Response Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Third Party Risk Management, Information Governance, Privacy, Training and Awareness, and Security Architecture & Engineering. We are searching for a Trainee to support the team with day-to-day analytics, and training and awareness events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will work alongside the information security team as well as team members from information technology, legal, and various business groups to support information security, information governance, data loss prevention, and security training & awareness programs. The candidate will be involved in data analytics and reporting improvements (e.g., Power BI), project coordination support (e.g., MIP training, etc.) as well as M365 Purview (record management, DLP, MIP) project support. The candidate will also be involved in preparations and implementation of Cyber Security Month programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Interest in training and awareness as well as event coordination and logistics
• Well-developed interpersonal communication, oral, written, and presentation skills); the ability to disseminate information in a clear, professional manner
• Ability to take meeting minutes for technical discussions
• Ability to prepare systems and process documentation with the use of flow charts and narration
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Use of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in SQL, Tableau, or Power BI is a significant plus
• Background in information security and/or information governance
