Video Engineer- Temp

As a Video Engineer you will be responsible for quality control, upload, clip creation and metadata entry of short and long form video content. You must be highly organized with a sharp focus on details. Video editing experience and knowledge of digital video/audio anomalies needed as the engineer will be tasked with prescreen quality control. Key skills include video/audio digitization and editing, film and digital video hardware and tape stock, systems networking experience, system messaging and notifications, technical metadata, pop culture knowledge, familiarity with music and song structure. Please note this is a temporary position.

What you'll do:
• Detailed quality control
• Video conversion/transcode (various formats, frame rates, scaling)
• Migration of assets into the asset management system
• Clip point identification (first verse, chorus, etc)
• Metadata and QC notes entry (theme, key lyrics, product placement, etc)
• Data entry using MS Office programs

Who you are:
• Minimum 3 years experience video engineering/editing/post production and/or a degree from an accredited media engineering school with appropriate training certification
• Efficiency and organizational skills a must to manage multiple priorities
• Must be extremely detail oriented to catch all video/audio errors
• Good grasp of song structure a must for efficient clip point creation  
• Excellent Communication skills
• Knowledge of system messaging, notifications
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable with a flexible schedule - Typical work hours are 10a-6pm EST, but hours & schedule may vary depending project needs

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
• General knowledge of pop culture
• General knowledge of film, digital video and digital audio
• General knowledge of digital compression formats/techniques
• Experience using the following applications:
• Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Quick Time, Compressor
• Aspera/FTP/SFTP
• Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT
