Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Digital, you will lead the digital strategy and drive performance growth across all digital service providers (DSPs) for the Hong Kong market. This role is accountable for maximizing streaming performance, digital revenue, and market share, while elevating artist visibility and content impact across platforms.
You will oversee both local and international repertoire performance across global and local DSPs, with a strong focus on growing domestic digital consumption and increasing viewing, engagement, and virality.
Acting as the key business contact for SME Hong Kong, you will manage platform relationships and serve as the primary interface between the company and DSP partners.
What you will do:
Digital Strategy & Streaming Growth
• Develop and lead the digital growth strategy to maximise streaming performance for Canton pop artists and catalogue.
• Drive campaigns focused on achieving Spotify Top Chart placement and sustained chart performance.
• Optimise DSP advertising investments (e.g., Spotify Marquee, Meta, Google Ads) to deliver strong ROI and streaming conversion.
• Collaborate closely with DSP partners to secure playlisting, visibility, and promotional opportunities.
• Analyse consumption data to identify trends, fan behaviour, and growth opportunities.
• Lead artist digital rollouts, social engagement strategy, pre save campaigns, and content optimisation.
Digital Marketing & Content
• Oversee digital marketing campaigns across social media, DSPs, YouTube, and paid media.
• Lead creative direction for digital assets including short form content, thumbnails, trailers, and promotional clips.
• Manage YouTube content strategy, scheduling, optimisation, and metadata best practices to grow channel performance and monetisation.
Digital Supply Chain & Operations Management
• End to end knowledge of the digital music supply chain, including order management, metadata, delivery, ingestion, and release execution.
• Familiarity with digital asset management systems, CMS tools, and DSP delivery standards.
• Ability to identify operational risks and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of content.
Physical Sales & D2C
• Work closely with physical sales colleagues for frontline & catalogue physical sales needs.
• Identify opportunities for physical frontline & catalogue expansion, special/anniversary editions, and market-specific bundles.
• Manage cross functional collaboration for artist launches, album releases, brand partnerships, and events.
• Growing fan-based data.
• D2C strategy - to engage fans directly, monetise beyond streaming through exclusive content and experiences, and build long term loyalty using first party data.
Research, Analysis & Problem Solving
• Ability to conduct operational research and data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Comfortable working with cross functional data (commercial, operational, and performance metrics).
Stakeholder & Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with A&R, Commercial, Digital, Creative, and Regional teams to ensure integrated planning and alignment.
• Build strong partnerships with DSPs, media partners, influencers, and agencies.
• Present insights, campaign results, and recommendations to senior leadership.
People Development
• responsible for driving, motivating, engaging team members in sales, analytics and business development in a high-performance and high-accountability environment, and add to their personal/professional growth.
Who you are:
• 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, streaming, music marketing, or entertainment.
• Strong knowledge of Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, and social media ecosystems.
• Proven experience in driving streaming growth and managing digital advertising budgets.
• Strong analytical capability with experience using analytics tools (Spotify for Artists, YouTube Analytics, Chartmetric, etc.).
• Experience managing agencies, DSP stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Creative mindset with ability to craft impactful digital narratives and campaigns.
• Canton‑pop or Hong Kong market experience is a strong advantage.
• A team player, happy working independently but also to collaborate with colleagues in a matrixed organization.
• Well-versed in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and sharp time/project management skills.
• Experience acting as a central coordination and communication point with various senior and key stakeholders internally and externally
• Skilled at navigating multiple or conflicting requirements between different parties and determining and negotiating the best overall solution.
