Job Description
As a Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Social Impact, LATAM you will play a key role in the growing global DE&I, People eXperience (PX) and Philanthropy & Social Impact (PSI) teams at Sony Music Group for the Latin American and Iberia region. In this role, you will build and leverage the Global DE&I, Global PSI and PX Strategy to lead, develop and drive the DE&I and Social Impact plan for LATAM. You will work with the Global DE&I, PX team and regional leaders to promote and build DE&I and PSI activities and initiatives that drive Sony Music Groups DE&I vision and LATAM regional plan as well as impact the experiences across a diverse region and for our employees.

The focus will be on identifying, building, and operationalizing strategic initiatives, managing key partnerships, collaborating with key stakeholders, and providing flawless execution to the key DE&I and PSI efforts. You will partner with the Global DE&I, PSI and PX team to create systems and processes, review and partner on guiding the DE&I plans and PSI strategies across the region, including but not limited to Sony Music Group Talent Advisory Groups (TAGs), Social Impact Committees, business unit/local office task forces, PX Business Partners, PX Learning & Development, PX Talent Acquisition and Communications.

You will support the regional LATAM and Iberia team leaders, employees and partners across all aspects of DEI and Social Impact.

What you'll do:
• Build and operationalize the DE&I and PSI Global strategies into a LATAM & Iberia regional DE&I and Social Impact strategies and business local plans that are relevant, impactful and effective. Connect to SMG's organizational mission and business strategy that provides transparency and inspires action and accountability for all levels.
• Create and implement solutions to make DE&I and Social Impact more consistent, impactful and streamlined across the LATAM & Iberia region.
• Provide in-house regional DE&I and Social Impact counsel and support across the organization to support and standardize DE&I and Philanthropy and Social Impact
• Lead planning, operations and logistics for DE&I events, programs and initiatives regionally, creating toolkits to support DE&I initiatives
• Managing initiatives focused on Sony Music Latin & Iberia's commitment to support social justice, anti-racist initiatives, and community through philanthropic endeavors
• Implement and manage an integrated approach to community development that connects back through a corporate responsibility lens
• Connection point with Sony Music Group's multi business platforms who seek to amplify philanthropic relationships and social and advocacy efforts.
• Coordination with Government Affairs, HR, and the Communications team on local and national projects and advocacy efforts.
• Manage relationships and organizations that reach out for funding or are recommended for funding, communicate stakeholder updates, track investments
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to support additional key initiatives in city or state that deepen relationships and impact within the community.
• Review content, stories, language and answer DE&I and PSI questions, as needed, for cultural accuracy and inclusion by providing counsel, guidance and direction.
• Conduct ongoing research on best practices and recommended strategies for continuous learning, best practice sharing and improvement to our DE&I and PSI plans
• Establish and build relationships with key internal and external DE&I and Social Impact partners, and ability to handle confidential data.
• Manage multiple projects and partnerships in a fast-paced, creative and collaborative environment with a drive for impact and action.

Who you are:
• 6-8 plus years in DEI, or a diversity-specific role creating, leading, and implementing diversity, inclusion, and belonging programs and change. Deep understanding of the dimensions of diversity, disrupting bias and creating equitable programs and experiences across US, Latin and European markets. Global experience a bonus.
• Understanding and keen awareness of governing best practices for non-profit NGOs and philanthropy organizations
• Keen understanding or experience with philanthropic issues, causes and community groups/organizations.
• Demonstrated experience in the building of a clear vision for the future of cultural diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, with experience in creating a framework to connect to business strategy and inspires action and accountability for all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to drive medium to large-scale culture change efforts in well-regarded and diversity focused companies with the ability to partner with multiple stakeholders to gain their commitment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, collaboration, coaching, and group facilitation/presentation.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, connect and influence areas of the business without direct reporting relationships.
• Strong problem solving, creative thinking and solution focused skills
• Effective data analysis and reporting skills; expertise in identifying, collecting, and analyzing data necessary to develop and assess progress toward achieving priorities and develop key strategies.
