Director, Regional Promotion

Job Description

As a Director, Regional Promotion, you will play a key role in supporting the team to help our artists deliver music to their fans. Your role allows you to use your exceptional communication skills and your motivation to get the job done by proactively promoting airplay and exposure for Sony Music Nashville (SMN) artists. Position requires interaction with members of senior management and other high-level internal and external contacts.

What you'll do:
• Develop and implement airplay strategies for all label artists within a specified region
• Implement campaigns to benefit and break artists and projects in country format
• Develop, cultivate and leverage relationships with staff at 40 radio stations
• Help create and develop album launch plans, promotional plans around tour dates, and trade advertising campaigns for singles
• Travel to multiple markets and manage on-site promotions at artist's shows
• Work cross-functionally within Sony Music Nashville teams to develop plans to drive airplay
• Organize and maintain multiple SMN reports and administrative responsibilities, including managing expense budgets

Who you are:
• Experience in record promotion with proven success in meeting defined goals; country label promotion preferred
• At least two years of music industry knowledge, particularly the role of airplay in driving sales
• Willing to work nights, weekends and travel
• Strong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritize
• Working knowledge of digital technology, the digital music space, social media, and online digital marketing
• Ability to adapt behavior and manner based on expectations and needs of audience, as well as exhibit a professional manner and maintain constructive working relationships with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
