From our position at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, we bring imagination and expertise to the newest products and platforms, embrace new business models, employ breakthrough tools, and provide powerful insights that help our artists push creative boundaries and reach new audiences. In everything we do, we're committed to artistic integrity, transparency, and entrepreneurship.

Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.

The Director, eCommerce will lead day-to-day store operations while elevating the overall performance, execution quality, and customer experience across artist webstores and e-commerce campaigns. This role blends hands-on store management with team leadership, ensuring products, launches, promotions, inventory, and site updates are executed accurately, on time, and in line with business priorities.

The Director will manage a small team responsible for store execution, campaign support, product setup, site merchandising, and operational follow-through. This person will set clear priorities, coach team members, improve ways of working, and partner closely with marketing, creative, inventory, fulfillment, and vendor teams to deliver seamless campaigns and product launches.

Success in this role requires a practical operator who can stay close to the details while also building scalable processes, translating performance data into action, and helping the team deliver exceptional online shopping experiences for fans.

What you'll do:

• Store operations and site execution: oversee day-to-day e-commerce store operations, including product builds, product accuracy, content updates, site styling, reskins, navigation, troubleshooting, and launch readiness.
• Campaign and launch management: lead planning and execution for artist webstore campaigns, digital album campaigns, product drops, and seasonal moments from kickoff through launch and post-campaign optimization.
• Team leadership: manage, prioritize, and coach a small e-commerce operations team; assign work, remove blockers, establish operating rhythms, and ensure consistent execution standards across stores and campaigns.
• Performance analytics and optimization: monitor store and campaign performance, identify opportunities to improve conversion, revenue, sell-through, and customer experience, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
• Merchandising, inventory, and vendor coordination: partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure sites reflect accurate inventory, products are available when needed, warehouse deliveries are tracked, and launches are operationally ready.

Who you are:

• 6+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, or store operations; music, entertainment, fashion, or consumer products experience is a plus.

• 2+ years of people management experience, or demonstrated ability to lead and coach a small team through fast-moving operational priorities.

• Strong hands-on understanding of Shopify, product setup, site merchandising, promotional planning, inventory coordination, and end-to-end launch execution.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple artist campaigns, cross-functional stakeholders, tight deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Analytical, solutions-oriented operator with strong communication skills and the ability to turn performance insights into practical improvements.

What we give you:

• You join an inclusive, collaborative and global community where you have the opportunity to channel your passion every day
• A modern office environment designed to foster productivity, creativity, and teamwork empowering you to bring your best
• An attractive and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life & disability coverage, and 401K + employer matching

• Investment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community.
• The space to accelerate progress, positively disrupt, and create what happens next
