Job Description

As Coordinator, A&R / Sony Music Nashville, you will play a key role in supporting the team to help our artists deliver music to their fans. Your role will provide overall administrative support and A&R specific project coordination to help ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the A&R department. Position requires interaction with members of senior management and other high-level internal and external contacts.

What you'll do:
• Manage the internal organization and distribution of digital music and videos for A&R staff, in conjunction with A&R Rep
• Provide administrative support to the A&R team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining contacts, generating reports, processing invoices and expense, arranging detailed travel plans and itineraries, and booking artist showcases
• Serve as a liaison between A&R team and music publishing and song-writing community
• Identify potential new talent using every resource available in conjunction with A&R team
• Manage a network of resources including songwriters, producers, managers, booking agents, attorneys, concert promoters, trade and consumer press, and tastemakers

Who you are:
• You have at least 1 year of administration experience in a creative environment (music, lifestyle, entertainment, or other creative industry), preferably at a record label or music publishing company
• Prior experience working/interacting with publishers, songwriters, and recording artists, and proven ability to create and maintain relationships is highly desired
• An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
• Understands current tastes, market trends, digital music space, and social media
• A thoughtful, organized and results-oriented professional who can also prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Able to attend evening showcases, travel, and interact with artists
