Job Description

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer 4 in Campbell, CA to provide highly specialized recommendations to improve game performance. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience developing and testing Razor CPU system profiler tools for the analysis of game performance. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience developing modules to initialize data capture and transfer of performance data to host computers; writing customized parsers to convert trace data into forms that can be correlated with game software information and visualized by user interfaces; writing visualizers to render complex datasets gathered by system profilers; designing, developing, and optimizing software tools and system profilers for performance analysis; developing visualizations, including timeline visualizations and call graphs, and statistical, hierarchical, and reverse hierarchical views of performance issues; writing performance capture and instrument code according to technical requirements; and writing analyzers for trace data to produce datasets visualized by front-end dashboards.
