Program Manager, Partner Outreach - San Mateo

Reporting into the Platform & Policy team based within Global Publisher and Developer Relations (GPDR) you will be focused on driving third-party partner engagement with SIE platforms and services through effective two-way communications and collaboration. Platform and Policy strive to ensure partners can take full advantage of the ever-growing suite of products and features available on PlayStation, while also balancing wider SIE business interests and priorities

In a global role based in San Mateo, CA, the successful candidate will support SIE platform initiatives by securing and assisting with partner participation. It is also vital that they can represent the needs of partners back to the business, informing future product strategy.

GPDR must work with a broad range of teams across core internal groups such as Platform Planning & Management (PPM), Global Store and Services (GSS) and Legal & Business Affairs (L&BA). This is in addition to maintaining strong business relationships with third-party partners developing on PlayStation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a platform and service environment, preferably within the video games industry. They will have strong awareness of industry business, priorities and trends and be grounded in a functional understanding of the development process.

• Establish and lead a framework for the creation and delivery of product communications tailored for third-party partner and internal collaborator audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partner, developer, platform and commerce teams to develop, implement and project manage delivery of partner support for key initiatives - building project structures as well as setting and tracking targets, goals and achievements as appropriate.
• Provide ad-hoc support for the Voice of the Creator Program, assisting the Program Manager with operating partner advisory events, summits and workshops as well as tracking partner feedback.
• Promote and communicate platform and service products, features and tools internally within Global Publisher and Developer Relations teams and, when needed, to third-party partners, where needed.
• Be the GPDR central point of contact regarding all platform and service functionality, information sharing, partner feedback, operational support and requirements.
• Work closely with PPM and GTPR Policy Managers to assess the policy impact of new platform or service products or features, identifying new policy requirements as and when.
• Regular analysis and review of industry trends and partner satisfaction with the platform and service ecosystem, reporting back to key internal partners to assist influencing product definition and roadmap.
• Define and track critical metrics to assess partner usage and effectiveness of product features, analyzing and assessing the health of the platform, identifying issues or gaps and recommending next steps to rectify
• Close collaboration with Program Management across the partner relations teams to ensure broad coverage of product information, project statuses and partner needs.
• Maintaining broad awareness of all business, technical and operational initiatives within the company, recommending strategies and prioritization within the context of partner engagement as and when required

• 5 years proven experience as a Program Manager, ideally within the games industry or a related field
• Experience in establishing and developing global, complex programs involving multiple internal and external groups.
• Strong collaboration skills and confirmed project management ability.
• Motivated, organized self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of audiences ranging from technical to non-technical, across business verticals and up to executive level (where required).
• Public speaking experience desirable.
• Games development and publishing experience, with an acute awareness of industry trends, challenges and business models such as Games as a Service or Free to Play highly desirable.
• Interest in gaming, gamer culture, digital entertainment and consumer electronics is ideal.
