Scheduling Coordinator

Job Description

Sinclair Broadcast Group's National Networks and Platforms team has an exciting opportunity for a Scheduling Coordinator.

This position will ensure that all materials and resources are coordinated and in place to proper running of all elements of program schedules. The Programming team manages the day-to-day scheduling of STIRR, Sinclair's direct-to-consumer streaming service.

The Scheduling Coordinator curates video on demand content/programs and schedules STIRR's large portfolio of entertainment channels.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Schedules and programs STIRR curated entertainment channels
• Editorializes and publishes VOD to show pages
• Monitors livestream events on platform and updates metadata
• Works cross departmentally and collaborates with the upper management and third-party content partners to strategize ways to best surface content for broad platform initiatives
• Strategically adjusts programming schedules to increase engagement and session time
• Maintains designated market area specific channels with unique local content
• Prioritizes projects to meet multiple and simultaneous deadlines
• Effectively uses program scheduling software and Excel spreadsheets
• Identifies and communicates content and site issues
• Uses a content management system to gather information for digital rights management tracking purposes
• Develops new programming initiatives such as stunts, theme nights, etc.
• Maintains high standards while balancing other job-related duties and projects

Requirements:
• 2 years of relevant television experience for example, broadcast station, cable network, multicast network or studio
• Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur
• Ability to communicate in succinct and effective manner
• Proficient in Excel a must
• Basic data entry skills
• Experience in the digital video or OTT content space is a plus!
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team oriented and results-driven environment
• Knowledge and passion for TV, movies and all things entertainment and pop culture
• CMS experience preferred but not necessary

The network is available through local broadcat TV affiliates including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and 42 of the Top 50 DMAs in the country.
• TBD is a free broadcast TV network for fans of unique and undiscovered Web content and voices. The network's tag line is ''TBdiscovered, see for yourself'' and features original weekly show The Link as well as The Lab with CRH, Life on the Edge and DevinSuperTramp. TBD is available nationwide include New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and 47 of the top 50 DMAs.
