Job Description

Sinclair Broadcast Group, INC is in search of a dedicated Sales Platform Trainer. This will be a person with extensive broadcast/digital knowledge coupled with teaching/training skills. This person will be expected to train sales users, managers and support staff. The ideal candidate will understand the broadcast linear and digital sales processes. They will become familiar with and train to Sinclair policies and procedures. The SASO Sales Platform Trainer will conduct various styles of online and in-person training sessions. Training will include one-to-many and one-on-one sessions covering both experienced and new employees. The SASO Sales Platform Trainer will create and maintain training materials (i.e. How-To Guides) as well as training sessions with corporate level groups and will also work with a Learning Management System for pre-recorded trainings.

Preferred Skill Set/Requirements
• Background in Media Sales and/or Broadcast/Digital Research-Sales and systems
• Training background including experience with in-person, online and prerecorded training
• Experience with creation and maintenance of training materials in all potential forms, electronic and physical.
• Experience with standard Microsoft Office software, Learning Management Systems, creation of collateral materials and maintenance of FAQ data

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct sales support, training and assistance for sales proposal systems to users across the country through various methods
• Communicate and coordinate with the sellers, sales management, research and operations traffic teams to optimize efficiency
• Creation of training collateral and support materials
• Log all reported issues via a ticketing system
• Become a subject matter expert on all sales related systems
• Maintain entries in various databases
• Generate and distribute various reports
• Assist with testing of new system version releases
• Point of contact with vendor development and vendor support staff for software bugs and related issues
• Some data entry and verification of data required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Broadcast TV or radio experience is a plus
• Understanding of Broadcast Linear and Digital sales
• Understanding of Nielsen and ComScore TV ratings is a plus
• WideOrbit or OSi traffic experience is strongly encouraged
• Proven professional communication and organizational skills are essential
• Must have a strong comprehension of MS Office Suite
• Must be motivated and detailed-oriented
• Must be dependable and have the ability to work various shifts
• Be able to work in a team environment and work well under pressure
