Master Control Supervisor

Job Description

Supervisor of On Air Operations will maintain smooth operation of all transmission services not just including on air but also web, social media, OTT, and streaming content. The position under the Engineering Department acts as a close intermediary between all different departments of the station including News, Marketing, and Programming to deliver engaging content across all platforms of delivery. The position also serves also as our lead in Quality Control across all platforms that all content is current, up to date, and relevant to our audience. This position also sets control room schedules and operations guidance for our Master Control Staff. This includes working with and adapting workflows throughout the station and with corporate staff.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Primary:
• Supervise and guide the Operations Staff by leading and setting an example for both workflows and Personnel.
• Ensure the quality of the outgoing content across all platforms.
• Work cooperatively with traffic, production, and others to accommodate changes as required.
• Develop and Write SOPs of Content from Creation to audience across all platforms.
• Review and track content impacting issues.
• Report all maintenance needs to Engineering.
• Facilitate training of the station staff regarding content workflows.
• Develop working knowledge of transmission of content through all platforms.
• Communicate and coordinate with station internal departments to understand content distribution requirements.

Required Skills:
• A deep understanding of the broadcast industry in both transmission and delivery of content across multiple platforms.
• Experience with Master Control Automation products.
• Experience with content archiving services.
• Experience with OTT streaming platforms, Amagi, Storyline, etc.
• Experience with Video Editing software.
• Experience with Live Sports Ad insertion.

Required Experience:
• Minimum 3 years Master Control and Content Delivery
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
