Responsibilities of a Market Sales Manager
Team Development- maintain a well-developed and educated sales team through recruitment, onboarding of new hires, and on-going team training. Be an inspirational leader with the ability to manage individuals and the team. Manage Marketing Consultants to their strengths. Be a change agent in redefining a traditional media sales role.
Goal Management- motivate a team of commission-based salespeople, Marketing Consultants, to grow their skillset and exceed goals through proper client needs analysis and creative omnichannel broadcast and digital solutions.
Revenue Management- work cohesively within the station's Sales Leadership team in creating and executing strategies and plans to support revenue goals by establishing annual, quarterly, and monthly plans that align with station budgets. Collaborate on inventory management.
Product development- be a creative client-driven solution creator.
Account Development- the MSM is responsible for guiding the team to develop new business, strategize solutions based on client's needs, and optimizing campaigns. Focus on Key Account Management, increase share, manage inventory, and drive rate.
Communicate and collaborate with other departments at the station as well as Sinclair and Compulse leadership and teams.
Depth of experience and knowledge in both television broadcast and digital products.
Proven track record of new business development and exceeding budgets in a combined broadcast and digital space.
The ability to coach, mentor and motivate a diverse group of sales people.
Ability to balance a significant portfolio of TV and digital products.
Capacity to learn new products and adapt to change in a fast-changing advertising environment.
Manage a remote sales team.
CRM experience is a must. We are a metric-focused sales organization driving our business development through the CRM funnel.
