Investigative Photographer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced photojournalist with a passion for storytelling to join the investigative team at WKRC-TV to work side-by-side with investigative reporter/producer to create engaging content for the Sinclair Broadcasting community. You will cover in-depth features and investigative assignments. Our station produces full high definition (HD) on media cards with desktop and laptop editing. You should have strong editing skills in non-linear editing systems, possess excellent people skills, have a strong work ethic, and bring a great attitude. You should also have the ability or desire to create graphics to be used in investigative stories using programs such as Adobe creative suite.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Experience shooting multi-camera interviews involving multi-lighting setup, and multiple microphone assignments.
• Experience using GoPro or equivalent action cameras for interviews and media gathering.
• Experience with Canon DSLR or equivalent cameras
• 2+ years Non-Linear Editing with AVID
• Experience with Adobe Premiere for video editing
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Travel
• The investigative photographer may be required to travel outside of the local viewing area to cover events, gather stories, and set up for live shots in shows. Some travel will require overnight stays or multiple days. The photographer will be made aware of the need for these special circumstances within a reasonable period of time beforehand by the investigative team.
