Job Description

STIRR, Sinclair Broadcast Group's Live, Local, and Authentic free OTT streaming service is looking for an Editorial Content Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with writing, editing, publishing, and programming TV, film and news content across various sections within STIRR platform, including On Demand and linear channels. You will ensure the integrity of content information, presentation, licensing, and availability windows. You will assist Sr. Editorial Manager with daily content planning and scheduling, including specialty programming, live events, and homepage updates. You will track digital airing rights of multiple high-profile TV series and publish content to STIRR platform. You will produce and edit a weekly episode from sourced, pre-existing Sinclair news content to feature on linear news channel.

You should have a clear personal and professional passion for and experience with digital copywriting and photo editing for content platforms. A working knowledge of local broadcast stations, news, general entertainment, niche fandom/genre content, and pop-culture events is highly preferred.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
• Working and communicating with internal stakeholders and cross departmentally to coordinate and ensure success of editorial goals
• Programming local news content for STIRR from sourced content within proprietary CMS
• Editorializing incoming content, including writing title and description copy and editing photos
• Digital rights management, including tracking partner content rights and scheduling programming windows
• Updating STIRR homepage and VOD hub content at least once daily
• Publishing content to STIRR platforms, including VOD hub and linear channels
• Sourcing news clips from Sinclair broadcast stations to be featured in select STIRR Local digital markets
• Producing weekly episode for news show from sourced content
• Working closely with Quality Control (QC) team to ensure seamless ingestion and delivery of incoming content

Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant experience editing for public facing digital content with large audience
• Expert level copywriting skills and strong familiarity with digital copywriting standards
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and general photo editing
• Proficiency editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with frequent pivots
• Proven success multi-tasking with detail-oriented projects
• Working knowledge of local broadcast stations, news, general entertainment, niche fandom/genre content
• A finger-on-the-pulse of major pop-culture events
• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field

The network's tag line is ''TBdiscovered, see for yourself'' and features original weekly show The Link as well as The Lab with CRH, Life on the Edge and DevinSuperTramp. TBD is available nationwide include New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and 47 of the top 50 DMAs.
