Marquee Sports Network is the exclusive television home of the Chicago Cubs in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group (Nasdaq: SBGI). We are the Chicago-region's exclusive network for fans to view live Cubs games and also feature extensive pre and postgame coverage, exclusive Cubs content and other local sports programming. Marquee Sports Network also is a network partner of the 2021 WNBA Champion Chicago Sky.

Marquee Sports Network seeks a Content Creator, with strong knowledge of the Chicago Cubs and baseball. This individual will create cutting-edge content that will be used on Marquee's social, digital and television platforms with the goal of driving fan engagement, brand awareness and marketplace relevance.

Responsibilities:
• Under the direction of the social media team, independently produce and edit content for all social media platforms for all of Marquee's teams
• Assist in general management of network social media platforms
• Attends games to capture, create and distribute content (photo and video)
• Produce and edit content on tight deadlines
• Ability to ideate, develop, and execute social media strategies and content that grow brand awareness and engagement
• Collaborate and work cross-functionally with sales, production and marketing teams to identify engaging features and concepts
• Ability to edit or create static graphics and photos for use across all social and digital platforms
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge about teams covered by Marquee Sports Network
• Work under limited guidance & supervision
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• 1+ years of professional content creation experience (photo and video) strongly preferred
• Possess a deep knowledge of and passion for baseball and Chicago sports strongly preferred
• Ability to apply creative and artistic talents to original ideas and content creation
• Editing skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut or similar platforms required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Be extremely organized, demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely manner with tight deadlines required
• Individual must work well in a dynamic environment while being able to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously required
• Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in a live sports environment required
• Possess the visual acuity to work in edit rooms for extended periods of time to produce required content required
• Possess auditory acuity to effectively listen to videos to edit/create required
• Possess the manual dexterity to effectively operate keyboard/mouse on computers, edit equipment, etc. required
• Consistently exercise discretion and judgment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred
